Hello Angel Friends.
When I worked at Saint Francis Hospital, every morning at 8am, over the intercom, one of the Sisters or someone from the Pastoral Care department would recite the Prayer of Saint Francis. Wherever I was at the time, whatever I was doing, I would stop and listen – it set up my whole day for being in a state of grace. I especially loved the line “For it is in giving that we receive” and from experience, truly understood. So, here, I share with you the Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi in hope that you too will find grace and the gift in giving:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
For it is in giving that we receive – give something of yourself today, no matter how small a gesture, and watch what blossoms from in return.
In Love, Light, and Angel Sparkles,
