Ginger Tea

Dear Angel Friends,

The angels are talking a lot about anxiety and of ways to help you to cope. It’s no secret that there’s a lot of stress out there and many people are having difficulty dealing with their anxiety levels. Many times anxiety causes upset stomach and digestive problems. This is why the angels are bringing to your attention an alternative way of combating this type of anxiety-causing symptom.

Have you ever heard of a carminative? I learned about them when I was taking an herbology course and have found it most helpful throughout the years. A carminative aids in the process of digestion and helps sooth an upset stomach. If anxiety is causing you digestive distress, make yourself a cup of ginger tea by slicing and peeling a piece of fresh ginger and boiling it in water for about 7 minutes. Strain and add honey if you want a bit of sweetness. Drink this tea and it will help settle an upset stomach. It also has a calming effect.

Other carminatives include peppermint (but this is also a stimulant so don’t have peppermint before bed) and chamomile (this is also a relaxant so it can be taken before bed and should actually help you sleep). Fennel, parsley, basil, avocado, dill and rosemary are also classified as carminatives (among many other herbs and foods).

The next time you experience an upset stomach, try a cup of ginger tea. It really works!

In Love and Light,

    1. Hi Nancy,
Great – then you know that it works! Sometimes we just need to be reminded of what we already know. Thanks for sharing.
